Hello Monday! To begin the new week I wanted to share this amazing recipe that I tried out in the weekend. This might look like a guilty pleasure, but that is the healthiest home made vegan chocolate you can find on earth, containing only three main ingredients. And oh my god it is so good! I am not going into details and the benefits of each ingredient I used, but I can tell you, this is no sugar and dairy free snack or dessert. So you don’t need to worry about upcoming bikini season.
1/2 cup liquid coconut oil
1/2 raw cacao
4 table spoons of maple syrup
Just mix all three ingredients, and use your fantasy if you want to add some nuts, dry fruits, berries or whatever you have. I added some almonds, dry raspberries and goji berries. Put it into baking pan (with baking paper), and freeze for about 30-40 min. Cut it into small pieces and you have it. Enjoy!
When the spring is just around the corner, and you try to cut sugar as much as you can, let me give you an advice and share this delicious recipe. Specially if you are chocolate addicted, you gonna love it! I am that kind of person that could eat sweet things for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Pancakes, cookies, cakes, chocolate whatever… I am sugar addicted that’s for sure. But how to deal with that kind of issue knowing that this little white ‘poison’ is not good for your health and of course for your weight loss. Let me share with you this yummy, organic, vegan chocolate spread recipe, where I used only healthy ingredients. It is super simple and for proportions you can just use any size cup. So to start with, you will need to decide what kind of nuts you like. I went for almonds this time (hazelnuts are good as well). Thus: 1 cup of almonds, 1/3 cup maple syrup, 1/4 cup raw cacao, 1/4 cup water, 2 table spoons of pure coconut oil, pinch of salt. After you have all ingredients, you just use a hand blender, which gonna take some time, but after all, trust me you gonna love it! Perfect for breakfast or as midnight snack.
When the winter comes, we need some extra calories to keep us warm. So remember to eat lots of cake during Christmas time. This is the season where we are allowed to spoil ourselves. While it so cold and dark outside, a cup of tea, a blanket and of course a piece of delicious cake is the best combination for winter chilling at home. So, enjoy and relax, it’s Christmas!
It’s getting really cold outside, and the only think I can dream about, is a cup of hot cacao, or two.. When the weather is getting frosty, I have to deal with some serious chocolate cravings, and I freeze all the time and everywhere. So, a good cup of hot chocolate is the best thing to warm up. The one that you see in the pictures is not a classic one, made out of traditional ingredients. I used only almond milk, maple syrup, cinnamon, fresh vanilla and organic raw cacao, which trust me is delicious. I try to avoid sugar as much as I can, so very often I look for some vegan recipes for inspiration, and there are so many nice and healthy substitutes, and very tasty of course.
For one cup I used:
1 cup of almond milk, 2 tablespoons maple syrup, 2-3 table tablespoons cacao, half fresh vanilla, 2 cinnamon sticks
This is my favorite lunch at the moment. I know it might look too fresh, bright or something you would eat in the summer time, but that is the reason why we should all keep on getting all this good, green and healthy stuff into us during this time of the year. I have a busy lifestyle and plus I am a mom, so I cannot allow myself to be sick. Fruits and veggies are important part of my healthy diet, as it is great source of vitamins and nutrients needed to stay strong and fresh.
I don’t know if I should call this dish a noodles salad or a sweet mango salad, but these are main ingredients. I also added avocado, edamame beans, and red chili to make it spicy. If you like the combination of sweet and spicy, I can tell you, this is delicious! The beans are rich in protein and it will help you stay full for longer. Enjoy in case you gonna try it!
So, back from holidays and it is time to clear the skin. Yep, I am one of the lucky ones, that suffering from acne after travelling. I always used to think that climate change or food cause this problem, but this time I realised (and I am almost sure) that long flights makes my skin to break out. Why? Because, I got very bad skin just after we landed and it was the same story on going back home. Well, it makes sense, since the air is so dry on an airplane, and the skin gets even more oily due to the lack of moisture. So, if you have the same problem, remember to drink a lot of water, take a good care and moisturise your skin while flying.
Anyways, gonna fix this little problem with my little detox program. All I need to do is go for green fresh and green! And a lot of water. For this, I am making my favourite ginger lemon water with some fresh mint aroma. It kills acne bacteria and treats skin blemishes! Try it, it really helps…
Eating a lot of veggies and fruits helps to clear the body from toxins, and I believe that to get a beautiful skin is not just enough to use tones of beauty products. What we eat is what we are, so good diet is just a beginning towards beautiful skin. I love green smoothies, makes me always feel more fresh and happy! And is so yummy! So, don’t wait, just go green!
For the rainy summer morning like this, I am having delicious breakfast. Fresh berries, crisp bread and a bit of light cream cheese taste so yummy! And of course I cannot live without my morning coffee. Once in a while, I enjoy mornings like that, specially if I have some extra time for myself. Sometimes, even the rain can be beautiful and the spirit of it gives me peace of mind.
Wish you a great day!
Pancakes for breakfast? Yes please!
Today I had the nicest morning ever, as these beauties were already on the table when I woke up. Thanks to my sweet husband. Pancakes is so good for breakfast, but with mashed strawberries on the top is the best. It reminds of childhood summer days, since we always had so many strawberries in my moms garden. Just love it!
Wish you a great and delicious day 🙂
A great way to start the day is like this! We love smoothies in our house and we drink it almost every day. It’s a great source of energy and good mood in the morning, where in the afternoon is a great snack substitute. And most important, it is super healthy. My boy loves it, and everyday we try something different or new. So quite often we are having so much fun by discovering new tastes and beautiful colours 🙂
The one that we did today, I call ‘Pina Colada’ smoothie, and I know if you try google, you will find many recipes called like that. Anyways, this one I created my self!
1/4 frozen pineapple
1/2 can of coconut milk
2-3 tablespoon coconut syrup ( you can use honey if you want)
½ glass of water or pineapple juice
Enjoy and have a great day!
If you want your morning juice to be more interesting, add some frozen strawberries. So refreshing and yummy…Still have some left in my freezer from last summer, that we have picked up at strawberry farm. It is extra delicious and of course organic. You can also try and freeze some other berries or fruits, depending on what you like. I think, soon I will experiment with kiwi 🙂 So, just use your imagination and enjoy!
