In todays world most of us are more concerned about the environment, our health and surrounding. Society and media are the biggest influencers of our behavior. Healthy way of living becomes not only a trend but a lifestyle. Looking trough the history, ages by ages the world is becoming more clever. We are all familiar with organic or natural foods, and that became a normal buying procedure depending on our choices. But what about the materials, the equipment we use, the clothes that we wear? Is that something we seriously consider when we do shopping?
Progressive silicone technology is becoming our future and the material is already used on fashion textiles. Going back to my Paris trip, I am happy I was bale to meet a high fashion textile engineer and designer Tzuri Gueta, who has found a great proportion between art and science. Getting familiar with the brand, gave a clear picture that technology and unusual materials can be combined into beautiful fashion pieces. After successful introduction of his ideas, silicone became Gueta’s signature material. The designer creates beautiful hand made jewelry and home decoration accessories by using technique of blowing silicone material into lace. The brand collaborates with Parisian Haute Couture houses in order to design original textiles, jewelry and ornaments. High fashion brands such as Chanel, Givenchy, Jean-Paul Gaultier, Dior Clarisse Hieraix, Stephane Rolland and Yiquing Yin are the main collaborators of the company.
I am absolutely in love with his accessories, so if you are visiting Paris soon, you should definitely go and check their cozy shop.
When the spring is just around the corner, and you try to cut sugar as much as you can, let me give you an advice and share this delicious recipe. Specially if you are chocolate addicted, you gonna love it! I am that kind of person that could eat sweet things for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Pancakes, cookies, cakes, chocolate whatever… I am sugar addicted that’s for sure. But how to deal with that kind of issue knowing that this little white ‘poison’ is not good for your health and of course for your weight loss. Let me share with you this yummy, organic, vegan chocolate spread recipe, where I used only healthy ingredients. It is super simple and for proportions you can just use any size cup. So to start with, you will need to decide what kind of nuts you like. I went for almonds this time (hazelnuts are good as well). Thus: 1 cup of almonds, 1/3 cup maple syrup, 1/4 cup raw cacao, 1/4 cup water, 2 table spoons of pure coconut oil, pinch of salt. After you have all ingredients, you just use a hand blender, which gonna take some time, but after all, trust me you gonna love it! Perfect for breakfast or as midnight snack.
Sometimes, routine and crazy lifestyle these days can empty our brains without even realising it. For me, life is not just the matter of eating, sleeping, going to work or whatever. I just realised that I cannot remember when was the last time I red a nice book, or let my brain to relax. And this is not good, that just kills my creativity and I believe most of us would feel the same way. So, what to do when you feel like you are stuck and cannot even dream. Well, go to Paris! That’s right… if you have a creative mind, you will ‘blossom’ like a flower again, of just seeing all the beautiful museums, architecture and people, I mean stylish people. That is just a big source of inspiration! I am currently on trend forecasting trip in Paris, and enjoying every single minute of it. It just makes me happy, feel creative and I am taking a full luggage of new ideas with me.
And if you are not into architecture or art, there are so many other things to enjoy. Just getting the spirit of Parisian life style is always nice. And let me tell you, the food, the wine and french pastries are on top. My gym shoes are already waiting for me when I am back in Copenhagen.
The city is the best place to shop and I personally love to search for a small vintage shops, so I know I can get some very unique pieces with a smell of Paris. And that is the best thing to do if you want to run away from tourists and enjoy small but beautiful things.
Turn your old loafers into new, just by adding some simple details. You can choose any accessories, from fur pieces, lace ribbon or velvet. Just use your imagination and be creative. The only tool I used for this project was a glue gun, but maybe you can just use some clips in case you want to play with different accessories. That was the most easy and fast DIY project I have ever made, so if you like it go for it!
