We are all different, with unique lifestyles and personalities. We grew up in different countries, cultures or religions… However, we all know what is behind that logo of a little guy Mickey Mouse. More or less, this iconic figure influenced our childhood, leaving us with warm and nostalgic feelings. Maybe that is one of the reasons why this character continuously staying on the adult fashion pieces for years. Perhaps it indicates our obsession with Mickey. Well, I am a little bit in love too, with this trend. However, I would not go for brand new pieces available at Disney store, since Mickey Mouse is a retro character. I want to keep it vintage in order to create the cool old-school style. I found my pants in the local vintage store, reminding me of 90’s, childhood, and neighbourhood kids.. If you are a bit childish like me, try to search for vintage items on Etsy.com, where you can find a lot of options and styles with Disney motives.
Everybody noticed that gingham trend has been on top this spring and summer, and it seems like it is not ready to leave us yet. I love this kind of print because it is super easy to style. However, there are many women out there who would not dare to mix this pattern into their wardrobe. And I know why, because for many it associates with classic picnic blanket. Well, that is why I love it so much, cause it brings good emotions, and can make you look refreshingly chic. Go for black and white gingham instead of traditional red, blue or green. It will give a more neutral but still playful look. You can find so many different styles in the fashion stores, from classy masculine, to very feminine pieces at the moment. Gingham items don’t have to feel rustic and old fashion, since it got some trendy touches of ruffles or appliqués. For a feminine and modern look, team your gingham look with white sneakers.
The summer is still here and the whole August is ahead. However going back into office mood might be hard for most of us, while beach, sand and summer sunsets are still dancing in our heads. Yes, post vacation situation can be hard sometimes. So, how to jump into work outfit, after few weeks in relaxed atmosphere, where the only things you needed was a bikini and a small evening dress? You might want to wear something relaxed and sporty but without overdoing it. We all know that high heels is a way to express our feminine spirit and at the same time a statement piece for an elegant and sophisticated look. If you are afraid of wearing too sporty clothes, neutralise it with your elegant pair of high heels. It is all about balance, and what I mean is that you simply mix elegant with sporty, feminine with masculine or classy with extravagant. Office wear should not be put into frames (well it used to be), and we should still be able express ourselves in a way of who we are..
We got the most crazy weather here in Copenhagen. It’s not very cozy when you are freezing all the time. It is suppose to be summer! So, I wear a lot of layers recently. Of course I want to avoid winter pieces, cause that is not how it suppose to be in July month. So, if you are facing the same issue, let me give you a smart advice. Do not jump into chunky winter sweaters and jackets! By layering your outfit with fresh summer items, you will come up with some nice combinations, keeping you warm and stylish at the same time. Well, and if the temperature suddenly goes up, you can always remove some pieces. Actually if you have an oversize shirt or two, you can always wear it open instead of a blazer, and it will give a nice and cool look without feeling too hot.
Buongiorno my dear friends, here is quick update of my recent trip to Italy, which has been like the best therapy. The nature, the architecture and of course the food is on top, and I guess there are no people on earth who would regret that. I visited Florence, Perugia, San Marino and Rimini this time. I must say that from the whole trip Perugia was my favorite place. Not so many tourists, good food and the architecture is super cozy. Walking in the city is like being in a big castle since the streets are so tiny and small. The next stop was Florence and I have to say that the city atmosphere is a bit crazy. There were 40 degrees outside and it was incredibly crowded with tourists. Anyways, if you are going to the place soon, you must try their ice cream, probably the best in the whole Italy. And don’t forget to visit Caffe Gilli, with the best, beautiful sweets and Tiramisu!
San Marino, a micro state surrounded by Italy is worth to see if you are traveling in the east part of the country. The city located on the top of the mountain with beautiful view and cozy environment. You must try their famous regional Piadina, a flat bread filled with delicious ham, salad or cheese. While visiting San Marino, I have stayed couple of days at Rimini, the Italian seaside holiday destination with a very long beach and cozy restaurants, serving delicious food. The pink night festival La Notte Rosa was held at that time, so I was actually able to see how it looks like. Everything decorated in pink, people dressed in pink, a lot of events and concerts along the beach. But if you want to try it out, you have to wait for another summer, since it is an annual festival on Adriatic coast.
Hello there, all creative ladies. As many of you have noticed pom poms trend has been all over internet recently. Those that follow me on Instagram, probably already saw a pair of similar slippers in another color, that I love as well!
The only thing you need for this kind of project a pair of simple slippers and bunch of pom poms, that you can make in any size or tones. Attach it with glue gun and you have your own unique and cute summer slippers.
This beautiful dot H&M dress was the first piece that came into my mind, when choosing an outfit, but I can tell you that these slippers go very nice wis high-waisted jeans or trousers.
Hope you like my DIY project and let me know if you got some other interesting ideas which I would love to hear! Wish you a great summer day!
The cool girl hair style has been on the trend everywhere in 2017, and it seems like it is not going anywhere soon. So, yes as you can see I cut my bangs. You can hate it or you can love it, but that is the best thing I did this summer. It’s like a new statement piece, I would say a cool accessory, that makes me feel like a completely new person. I had bangs couple of year ago, but I got so tired of it, because it was to heavy. Literally, almost half of may hair has been transformed into bangs, and I had so many issue when I had to grow it out. Anyways, I love the way it is now, very light and girlish, with inspiration taken from my favourite 70’s style icon Jane Birkin. There are of course pros and cons for this hair cut, however let’s discuss it latter, while now I love is so much, without caring about anything…
I always had a passion for vintage pieces, and there is something special about it. When I was a teenager, I never had a huge wardrobe since my parents could not afford it. So, I remember I used to search for some cool stuff in my moms or grandmothers basement all the time. I love old clothes, no matter where it comes from. However, things that I got from my family, I call a real treasure! The dress I am wearing, used to be my mothers which she crocheted herself when she was a teenager. I even got a picture of her making this beautiful piece, which I thing is amazing. That is the most expensive dress I have ever had, not only because it is vintage, but because there’s so much hand craft and love in it!
One of the best things about summer start, is all these beautiful blooms and flowering trees. It boosts my mood every morning I get out, and really makes me happy. Well, I guess my outfit today fits perfectly with this beautiful surrounding… I am wearing a very delicate vintage blouse, which I always though is very romantic and elegant. Actually, I have quite many this kind of beautiful vintage blouses, that recently are hidden in my closet, due to the fact that my style more often is very casual. I don’t want to get rid of it since I have respect for vintage pieces, but at the same time I don’t want to fill my closet with items that I am not wearing. So, I decided that maybe it is time to style it into more casual look. The best way to make a delicate blouse look more sporty, is to roll up the sleeves and unbutton it as much as you can. I think this trend can make any shirt look very cool. Combining it with jeans, helps to neutralise the romantic look of it. And of course white sneakers are always the best and easy way to make any outfit look relaxed.
I am wearing: blouse – vintage, jeans and sneakers – H&M, sunglasses – vintage
There is something special about beach bags. It is definitely a statement piece, and I cannot describe why it is so eye catching…Well, most likely because of the size or colors? If you are hiding yours somewhere deep in your closet, you should definitely take it out, and don’t wait for sunny days or your dream holidays. I am that kind of person who really hates to save pieces for special occasions. My wardrobe is not a storage, and it is too small for things that I am using once in a year.
You know, who said that beach bags are only meant to keep you a company only on the way to the beach?.. There are no rules in these days on how you should style your outfit, and you are allowed to go crazy, and do what ever you want. I had my bag for couple of years now and could never find the right pieces to match the colors, so I thought I will get rid of it. Well, thanks god I did not do that, cause this summer it is my favorite statement piece, and it goes super nice with everything. Don’t ask me why, because I don’t know… Maybe my style has changed, or maybe I had this weird perception that beach bags are only for the BEACH…
I am wearing: blazer – Samsøe & Samsøe, t-shirt – Weekday, jeans – H&M, bag – Tommy Hilfiger, slippers – Adidas
